PRESENTACION
Nací el 31 de Agosto de 1966 en Purépero, Michoacán, México.
Desde que yo era pequeño tuve la oportunidad de estar cerca de los olores del aguarrás y el óleo al mirar a mi tío Francisco Alemán pintar en su caballete.
Siempre desde que recuerdo fue fácil para mí el dibujo y hacer trabajos de arte en la escuela.
Llegue a Tijuana con mi familia desde que tenía 4 años y aquí me quede, crecí experimentando con plumones y crayolas, haciendo copias de estampitas con caricaturas de Disney y dibujando personajes que estaban impresos en libros viejos y enciclopedias.
Mi etapa de autodidacta termino cuando después de estar un tiempo en el taller de artes plásticas del Tecnológico de Tijuana, decidí entrar al taller libre de artes plásticas de La Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana impartido por el maestro Carlos Castro Campos.
Allí mi formación fue académica, a pesar de que el taller era libre y no existía todavía en Tijuana una licenciatura en artes visuales. Como en las viejas escuelas, la relación de Maestro y alumno me permitió absorber muchos de los conocimientos que mi guía compartió conmigo.
Me adentré en la pintura clásica, en el realismo y en la mitología griega, temas que mi maestro me enseño a amar y tenerlos siempre presentes en la punta del lápiz para dibujarlos. Temáticas que actualmente todavia me seducen y que son la razón de ser y el tema central de mi obra. El realismo, el cuerpo humano masculino y femenino, los valores idealizados y la belleza, son los elementos que siempre están presentes en mi obra y de los que no me puedo olvidar.
Por mucho tiempo mi trabajo y yo hemos estado lejos del movimiento artístico regional pues no concuerda con lo que se hace localmente y en general de todo ambiente cultural.
Mi obra es para aquella persona que quiere tener en su casa una imagen que le inspire, que comprenda y que de belleza a su entorno. Mis imágenes son eclécticas, con posibilidades de identificarse con cualquier espectador y por supuesto nunca entraran al abstraccionismo ni al arte conceptual. Menciono esto porque actualmente estoy en una etapa de transformación y adaptación de mis ideas visuales a un campo más cotidiano y contemporáneo, pero sin dejar la esencia de lo que he estado haciendo desde el principio, el ser humano como protagonista y la búsqueda de la belleza en la que siempre reincide mi obra. Creo que mis dibujos y pinturas no son nada impactantes, ni innovadoras sino todo lo contrario, son innegablemente tradicionales, muy comunes y creadas con la intención por la que el arte existe, mostrar la belleza y regocijo de la vida pero con un estilo muy personal.


PRESENTATION
I was born in August 31, 1966 in Purépero Michoacán, Mexico.
Since I was a child I had the opportunity to be near the smells of the turpentine and the oil, looking at my uncle Francisco Aleman to paint in its sawhorse. Always since I remember, was easy for me the drawing and to do works of art in the school.
I arrive at Tijuana with my family since I was 4 years old and here I remain, I grew up experiencing with featherbeds and crayolas, doing copies of Disney’s cards cartoons and drawing personages that were printed in old books and encyclopdies.
My phase of self-taught was finish when after being a time in the Tijuana’s Tecnologico plastic arts workshop, I decided to enter at the Tijuana’s Casa de la Cultura plastic arts workshop given by the master Carlos Castro Campos.
There my formation was academic, in spite of the fact that the workshop was unofficial and did not exist still in Tijuana a degree in visual arts. As in the old schools, the relation of “Maestro” and student permitted me to absorb most of the knowledge that my guide shared with me.
I entered in the classical painting, in the realism and in the Greek mythology, subjects that my “Maestro” teach me to love and to have them always presents in the tip of the pencil to draw them. Thematic that at present still seduce me and that are the reason to be and the central theme of my work. The realism, the male human body and female, the idealized values and the beauty, are the elements that always been present in my work and the ones that I cannot forget.
For a long time my work and I have been far from the regional artistic movement, because does not agree with what is done locally and in general of every cultural event.
My work is for that person that wants to have in its house an image that inspire, an art that understand and that give beauty to its environment. My images are eclectic, with possibilities to be identified with any spectator and of course never they entered to abstract art neither to conceptual art. I mention this because at present I am in a phase of transformation and adaptation of my visual ideas to a contemporary and more routine field, but without leaving the essence of what I have been doing since the begining, the human being as the protagonist and the search of the beauty in which my work always remains. I believe that my drawings and paintings are nothing stunning, neither innovative but all the contrary thing, they are undeniably traditional, very common and created with the intention by the one that the art exists, to show the beauty and elation of the life but with a very personal style.
